NAWOJ hails Odogwu’s re-election as NUJ Chair, pledges support

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated Dr Odogwu Emeka on his re-election as Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Council.

Chairperson, NAWOJ, Comrade Tochukwu Ifejika, in a statement said the vote of confidence from her colleagues was a testament to his exemplary leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment to the progress of journalism in the state.

She described Odogwu’s re-election as not only a recognition of his past achievements but also affirmation of the trust placed in his vision for the future of the noble profession.

While expressing confident of NUJ’s continued upholding of ethical journalism, fostering unity among members and champion of press freedom in Nigeria, Ifejika pledged unwavering support and partnership in all endeavors that would enhance journalism practice in the state.

The statement reads, “On behalf of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), I extend my warmest congratulations to you on your re-election as the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Council.

“This resounding vote of confidence from our colleagues is a testament to your exemplary leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment to the progress of journalism in the state.

“Your re-election is not only a recognition of your past achievements but also an affirmation of the trust placed in your vision for the future of our noble profession.

“We are confident that under your stewardship, NUJ will continue to uphold the tenets of ethical journalism, foster unity among members and champion press freedom in Nigeria.

“NAWOJ looks forward to working closely with you to advance the cause of journalism, especially in areas of mutual interest such as gender inclusivity, capacity building and promotion of professional excellence in the media industry. Together, we can create a more vibrant, impactful and equitable media landscape for all.

“Please accept my best wishes for a successful tenure, and be assured of NAWOJ unwavering support and partnership in all endeavors that will enhance the practice of journalism in Anambra.”
