A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ernest Okoli has cautioned Christians against placing undue emphasis on earthly wealth.

Okoli gave the advice at the requiem mass for Chief Anthony Anigbogu Ikeh, held at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Ihiala, Anambra State, presided over by Cardinal Peter Okpalaeke of Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese.

He emphasized that true wealth lies in pursuing the kingdom of God, rather than accumulating material riches.

“Our journey on earth is not solely about acquiring wealth, but about living a decent life and worshiping God with our wealth,” he said.

He expressed gratitude for the values his father instilled in him and pledged to follow in his footsteps.

Other dignitaries, including Mr. Ndukwe Livinus and Mr. Onwuamaeze, also paid tribute to the late Chief Ikeh, highlighting his contributions to the community and his commitment to the Catholic faith.

The mass which drew mourners from far and wide served as a testament to the enduring legacy of Chief Anthony Anigbogu Ikeh, a devoted Christian and community leader.
