The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Chibuzo Emmanuel Obimma (popularly known as Ebube Muonso), has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Hon. Azuka, who represented Onitsha North in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
During his visit, Fr. Ebube Muonso prayed for God’s strength and comfort for the grieving family, acknowledging the profound loss they have suffered. He assured them that those responsible for Hon. Azuka’s tragic death would be exposed and brought to justice.
The revered cleric also awarded a full scholarship to the late lawmaker’s son, covering his education up to the university level in the United States.
Fr. Ebube Muonso strongly asserted that the killing was politically motivated and insisted that the Anambra State Government must be held accountable. He called on the authorities to ensure justice is served, emphasizing the need for the truth to come to light.
Addressing those gathered to mourn with the family, Fr. Ebube Muonso stated that his outspokenness against injustice had made him a target of government-backed media attacks. However, he affirmed that he would not be silenced. He further declared that, in due time, the security challenges in Anambra State would be resolved.
Following his visit to the bereaved family, Fr. Ebube Muonso proceeded to the palace of Igwe Alfred Achebe, the revered king of Onitsha, to pay his respects.
