Anambra Needs a Practical Governor, Not Leaders Who Promise Mountain but Deliver Molehill- Nwosu

Labour Party governorship aspirant, John Nwosu, has declared that incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo has failed Anambra State.

Nwosu made this assertion while addressing the Anambra State Chapter of the Obidient Movement at King David Hotel, Awka, on Saturday.

Nwosu began by acknowledging the Obidient Movement’s restructuring efforts, both nationally and in Anambra State.

He emphasized that Anambra is the next battleground and test case for the movement, which is committed to salvaging the state.

The governorship aspirant described Anambra under Soludo’s leadership as an eyesore, insecure, and plagued by crime, criminality, and bloodletting.

He emphasized that this carnage must end.

Nwosu criticized Soludo’s 2017 statement that Anambra was not broken and did not need fixing, stating that karma has proven Soludo wrong.

He accused Soludo of inheriting a broken state and making it worse, citing economic regression due to insecurity and a lack of leadership that has negatively impacted the entire South East.

Nwosu also recalled Soludo’s failed promises, including his pledge to deliver Taiwan and Dubai-like development, which he described as “mountains” that yielded only “molehills.”

He further criticized Soludo’s response to criticism, which he characterized as arrogant and dismissive.

The Labour Party aspirant emphasized that theory is not practical and that Anambra needs practical leadership, which Soludo is not providing.

He urged the Obidient Movement to get involved and secure Anambra once again, constitutionally sending Soludo away and saving the state from his disastrous leadership.

Nwosu outlined his vision for Anambra, built around his Seven Pillars of good governance: Security, Health, Education, Economy, Enterprise, Market, and Social Welfare (SHEEEMS).

He emphasized that these pillars will provide the framework for addressing Anambra’s development challenges.

“We must stop allowing Soludo to hoodwink us,” Nwosu said, adding, “Whitewashing Anambra is a fallacy, and a ruse. Repainting existing infrastructure built by his predecessors and the federal government is deceitful and mischievous.”
