2025 Guber: Why We Endorsed Soludo’s Reelection – Persons With Disabilities

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) in Anambra state has expressed full support for continued leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the state.

State Chairman, Comr. Ugochukwu Okeke who gave the endorsement in a statement on behalf of the group said the decision was in recognition of the governor’s outstanding leadership and remarkable achievements over the past three years.

He said the Soludo’s commitment to good governance, transparency and inclusivity has brought about significant improvements in the lives of the people including persons with disabilities.

He urged citizens and political stakeholders in the state to prioritize the state’s continued development ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, even as he urged political actors to put the interest of the state above personal ambitions.

The statement reads, “We the members of the above mentioned Association are honored to write this letter in recognition of your outstanding leadership and remarkable achievements over the past three years as the Governor of Anambra state.

“Under your visionary governance, our state has witnessed unprecedented progress in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social development.

“Your administration’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and inclusivity has brought about significant improvements in the lives of the people including persons with disabilities.

“The massive road constructions, school renovations, and investment in healthcare facilities, sharing of agricultural inputs, are clear testimonies of your dedication to building a prosperous Anambra state.

“Additionally, your focus on youth development (one youth two skills) and women empowerment, job creation and strengthening of security has fostered growth and stability in our state.

“As we approach another election cycle, we urge all well-meaning citizens and political stakeholders in Anambra state to prioritize the continued development of our dear state under your administration.

“The strides achieved under your leadership must not be derailed by unnecessary political distractions. Opposition and diverse opinions are essential in a democracy, but they should be constructive and focused on the collective progress of the people.

“In this regard, we, the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) call upon all political actors to put the interest of our dear state above personal ambitions.

“The good work you have started must continue, and there is no better way to ensure sustainable development than by allowing you to consolidate and complete your visionary projects in a second tenure. Indeed solution is here, carry go for the next four years.

“Your Excellency, we commend your unwavering dedication to service and express our full support for your continued leadership. May your administration continue to usher in prosperity, peace, and progress for the good people of Anambra.”
