Bianca Ojukwu, Former beauty queen, former Ambassador of Nigeria to the Kingdom of Spain and now Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs (state) wowed theatre fans when she made a widely anticipated appearance at the premiere of ‘BIANCA’ a theatrical extravaganza on stage centred on her life story.
The stage production ‘BIANCA’ appears to have shattered Nigerian theatrical records on every sphere. The Muson Centre, venue of the Event was sold out , with a jam packed theatre hall, and hordes of people lined up outside and unable to get into the venue as the massive hall at the prestigious Centre was filled to capacity.

It was attended by prominent Nigerians including Ministers, ambassadors and diplomats, traditional rulers, captains of industry and the banking sector, celebrities and an army of young people who shutdown the venue to be part of this historic moment in Nigeria’s Theatrical History.

The stage production BIANCA also had the largest pool of corporate sponsors for one show, and also pulled in the largest amount of media organisations – channelstv, AIT, Thisday, Guardian, Vanguard, The Sun, Media Room Hub amongst others.

People flew in from Uyo, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Abuja ,UK, US and from China to see the Play.
According to the Joseph Edgar, CEO of the Duke of Shomolu Productions, producers of the Stage Presentation, ‘ Bianca is the latest in a distinguished line of historical productions by our foundation, the only play so far in our stable of productions which is about a living individual.
‘It has truly redefined the dynamics of Nigerian theatre and re-ignited the interest of Nigeria’s youthful population , normally used to Movies, in the artistic field of Theatre, judging by the great numbers of young people who attended this event’.
