A disturbing incident has happened in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area, where a dead body was found hanging from a tree in a bush on May 16, 2025.
According to Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, the body has been identified and the State Police Command has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Ikenga further stated in his release that the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has directed police operatives to step up surveillance and intelligence gathering to uncover the truth behind the incident.
The body has been deposited in a morgue, and efforts are ongoing to contact the deceased’s family.
The police are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death and bring perpetrators to justice. The Anambra State Police Command is urging citizens to cooperate with the investigation and provide any information that may aid in solving the case.
Recently , a pregnant woman was seen hanging in a bush along Nnobi road.
