Joint Security Team Makes Progress in Anambra South, Arrests Six.

The Joint Security Team, comprising the Police and Operatives of the Anambra State Vigilante, has recorded breakthroughs in Anambra South Senatorial district.

The team has arrested six suspects over armed robbery and vandalism in Oko community and environs.

According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, force Public Relations Officer, the Operatives have equally declared a manhunt for a notorious cultist and gunrunner known as Kiss Me, who is terrorizing the Oko Community. “They have also recovered one English pistol and vandalized electric cables in separate operations in the area” , he said.

He continued, “In the evening of May 19, 2025, two suspects, Anagor Chinedu ‘M’ aged 25 years and Anagor Rapuluchukwu ‘M’ aged 23 years, were arrested at Ifite village, Oko, and one English Beretta pistol was recovered. The suspects confessed to being members of a confraternity and mentioned their Armourer as ‘Kiss Me’.

“The Operatives have launched a manhunt operation aimed at dislodging the criminal group”.

In another development, SP Ikenga confirmed that the security Operatives responded swiftly to a distress call of some miscreants sighted vandalizing electrical wires at the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic Oko and arrested four suspects: Chukwuka Usulor, Chukwuemeka Michael, Ikenna Oke, and Ebuka Okeke. He further stated that Operatives recovered some assorted quantities of cable wires.
