A mother in Anambra State, has disowned her daughter( Name Withheld because she is minor), for sending videos of her mother’s intimate moments with another man to her father.
The mother, Chinasa, expressed deep disappointment and shame, condemning her daughter’s actions and placing curse on her.
Chinasa stated that she no longer considers the girl her daughter due to the shame and ridicule she brought upon her.
She strongly criticized her daughter for sending the videos to her father, describing the act as a betrayal of trust.
“I regret ever having her as my daughter. She has brought shame to me, and I will no longer acknowledge her as my own.
‘What she has done will have consequences, and I fear her own daughter may one day bring similar shame to her.”she said.
Meanwhile,mixed reactions have trailed Chinasa’s action of disowning the poor girl.
A respondent who gave his name simply as Emma said “She can’t dosown her. She seems to still be a minor and can’t be held responsible for her actions.
Uchenna Eze in his opinion said,” I think a minor above the age of 7 but below 12 can be held responsible of their actions if it can be proven that they knew the nature and consequences of their actions. Minors above 12 can be held more fully responsible for their actions.

” This girl by sending the video to the father means she knew the full import of her mother’s action.
“I pray this act won’t adversely affect the poor girl in a traditional Igbo way during her marriage.”
Others commended the girl for what she did, describing her as “a right thinking person,that abhors evil”
Chinasa’s sex video had since gone viral in the social media. Chinasa had blamed her husband for her infidelity, describing him as an irresponsible person.
