The Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University has approved the naming of its newly completed female hostel after renowned Nigerian-American economist and international development expert, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
According to Professor Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, the decision to name the hostel after Dr. Okonjo-Iweala is a tribute to her exemplary personality, which serves as a role model for the university’s female students, inspiring them to emulate her achievements and values.
