The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of John Chinagorom ‘M’, a suspected kidnapper who had been on their wanted list.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Force Public Relations Officer, the arrest was made possible through the collaboration with the Kaduna State Police Command.
The breakthrough came after operatives of the Ozubulu Police Division received credible intelligence on August 1, 2025, that the suspect was hiding at PZ Park Road, Zaria, Kaduna State.
A team of detectives was swiftly dispatched and, with the assistance of Kaduna State Police officers, they successfully apprehended the suspect at his hideout.
The suspect, linked to a kidnapping case reported on April 15, 2025, is currently in custody and assisting the police in ongoing investigations.
Ikenga stated that the Anambra State Police Command has commended the Kaduna State Police Command for their support in the operation.
He confirmed that the security situation in other parts of Anambra State remains calm, with ongoing counter-terrorism and crime prevention operations.
