Two Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Obu representing Orumba North State Constituency and Hon. Pat Okafor representing Onitsha North 2 State are, barring last minute changes, making Solid plans to leave APGA.

The development is coming less than twenty-four hours after Governor Soludo inaugurated the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial campaign council ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

Reacting to the development, the Media Director at Osisioma Foundation, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie noted that the move affirms “the battle to remove Prof. Soludo on November 8th”.

Mr. Eneh also claimed that about ten other House of Assembly Members are planning to join the APC governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

Taking to his social media handle on Facebook, he wrote:

“The battle to remove Prof Soludo on November 8th has taken a new shape as all major leaders are beginning to identify with the project.

“Some hours ago, two House of Assembly members, Hon Paul Obu representing Orumba north state constituency and Hon Pat Okafor representing Onitsha North 2, have defected to APC.

“[I have] also been informed that about ten other House members are on their way to APC.

“It is now a gathering of men against “Governor Okwu Atu Egwu”.

“The reality of what is coming on November 8th is getting clearer.

“We welcome these two House of Assembly members and others who are on their way to APC.

“Prince Evang Nicholas Ukachukwu will rescue Anambra from the present tyrant administration.”

In a related development, the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) senatorial candidate for the recently concluded Anambra South senatorial by-election, Barrister Donald Amangbo, has also defected to APC.

Barrister Amangbo said he joined APC and Prince Ukachukwu to retire Governor Soludo of Anambra State.

He noted that the battle to capture Anambra on November 8th through the polls is now on course.

In another development, the Anambra State House of Assembly recently suspended a Member Representing Ayamelum Constituency, Hon. Bernard Udemezue, for three months.

Hon. Udemezue, who belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been in the news recently for revealing details about the Soludo-led administration.
