Despite attacks and criticisms directed at Agunechemba personnel by Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu, local security operatives in Anambra State have successfully recovered a vehicle belonging to Gwamnishu that was stolen during a recent armed kidnapping incident in Delta State.

In a statement issued by Agunechemba’s spokesman Honorable Nweke Nweke on Thursday, it was revealed that after fruitless attempts to recover his stolen vehicle, Gwamnishu reported the case to Agunechemba.

Following his complaint, the stolen vehicle was recovered.

The incident was reported by Gwamnishu himself, a well-known activist and prominent critic of Anambra State’s homeland security framework.

Recent reports indicate that despite his previous criticisms of the operational methods employed by state security organizations, including the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Gwamnishu sought assistance from Agunechemba following recent kidnapping incidents in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

Although past criticisms have affected public trust in Anambra homeland security, Gwamnishu contacted Agunechemba a few days ago to assist in identifying and apprehending individuals found in possession of a vehicle believed to have been stolen by kidnappers during operations along Ogbe-Onicha Farm Road, Agidiese Quarters, Ogwashi-Uku.

In a statement, Gwamnishu expressed his gratitude:
“Special thanks to the Officer in Charge and officers of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Delta State Police Command, for their tireless efforts in ensuring the suspects were apprehended. I also extend my gratitude to the Udo Ga Achi Vigilante Group, located beside Shoprite, Onitsha, Anambra State, for their valuable collaboration.

“The latest victims were kidnapped around 1:00 a.m. at Ogbe-Onicha Farm Road, Agidiese Quarters, Ogwashi-Uku. One of the victims was shot in the leg as the kidnappers attempted to force him to contact friends and family to raise a ransom of ₦20,000,000.

“The victims were eventually released the same morning around 5:00 a.m., but the kidnappers fled with their Toyota Venza, taking it across the Niger Bridge into Obosi, Anambra State.

“Through the combined efforts of our intelligence team and the Delta State Police Command’s Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad, the vehicle was tracked to Mgbuka, Obosi. There, it was recovered and two suspects were arrested.”

Meanwhile, the activist has issued a warning to kidnappers operating in Delta State, stating that their continued presence in the region will lead to their swift demise. He emphasized that this was a factual assessment rather than a threat.
