The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has released another 10 million naira in education grants to students from Ogbaru Local Government Area studying in tertiary institutions. An additional 2.5 million naira was allocated to secondary school students to support tuition and other educational needs.
The event, themed “Ogbaru Youth Parliament; The Future Is Now, Not Tomorrow,” marked the third edition of the Ogbaru Youth Parliament and the second phase of Udeze’s education grant initiative. Udeze encouraged the beneficiaries to excel in their studies and urged them to support Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection bid, citing his achievements in education and other sectors.

Chairman of the occasion, Sir Ikenna Odume, and Dame Chinyere Mbakwe of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, commended Udeze for his commitment to the education of Ogbaru youths. They called on the students to use the grants responsibly and remain focused on their studies.
Guest lecturers, including former legislator Hon. Ejiofor Egwuatu and entrepreneurs Mr. Ifeanyi Ogbaji and Mrs. Adaobi Onyele, urged the students to stay committed to their education and appreciate the Speaker’s continued investment in their future.
Beneficiaries, Miss Uba Onyinyechi and Master Victor Chimezie, expressed gratitude to Udeze, praying for his continued strength and success.
The highlight of the event was the formal presentation of the 10 million naira cheque to the student recipients.
