Anambra State has made a remarkable impact at the 2025 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award, held at Eagle Square in Abuja. Schools and educators from the state scooped nine prestigious awards, solidifying Anambra’s reputation as a hub for educational excellence in Nigeria.

 

Award Winners

1. *Woliwo Primary School II Onitsha*: The star prize winner of a sixteen-seater bus in the all-round best school in Nigeria category. This achievement underscores the school’s commitment to academic excellence and well-rounded education.

2. *Pinkberry International School Odume Obosi*: First runner-up in the best-approved private primary school in Nigeria category, demonstrating the school’s dedication to providing top-notch education.

6. *Cosmas Nwata of Igbariam Farm Settlement Primary School*: First runner-up for best public primary school teacher in Nigeria, exemplifying dedication to teaching.

 

7. *Amaka Ubaka of Prince Memorial Secondary School Onitsha*: First runner-up for best public senior secondary school administrator in Nigeria, underscoring effective leadership.

 

8. *Okafor Ngozi of Community High School Nkwelle Ezunaka*: First runner-up for best public junior secondary school administrator in Nigeria, demonstrating strong administrative capabilities.

 

9. *Edozieobi Nnenna of Model Primary School Akabor Ojoto*: First runner-up for best public primary school administrator in Nigeria, showcasing exemplary management skills.¹

 

Recognition and Prize

All awardees received laptops from the Federal Ministry of Education, symbolizing a commitment to enhancing educational resources and promoting digital literacy among teachers and administrators.
