An oil and gas business development consultant, Gini Chukwuma Williams, has donated 16 ward offices to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across the 24 wards in the Idemili North/South Federal Constituency of Anambra State, as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A statement on Tuesday said that the inauguration of the offices held on Sunday, was attended by party leaders including the state chairman, Patrick Obianyo, alongside executive from the state, local government and ward levels.

The newly opened offices are located in Abacha, Eziowelle, Abatete, Uke, Nkpor I, Oraukwu, Ideani, Ojoto, Awka-Etiti I, Awka-Etiti II, Nnobi I, Nnobi II, Nnobi III and Nnokwa, covering seven wards in Idemili South and nine wards in Idemili North, with the remaining offices expected to be commissioned later.

Williams said the initiative formed part of his personal contribution to strengthening the ADC’s operational capacity and grassroots mobilization in the constituency.

“In January, I officially joined the ADC in my ancestral home, Abacha ward, alongside over 250 supporters from our former party.

Today, I am pleased to facilitate the procurement of party offices across the wards to strengthen our support base and ensure optimal party operations,” he said.

He added that the offices would be equipped with necessary facilities to drive party activities and expand the ADC’s presence across the constituency.

The Anambra ADC chairman commended the initiative, describing it as a major step toward building a strong grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

“What we are witnessing is the beginning of a stronger grassroots structure that will boost our membership mobilisation,” he said.

Also speaking, the ADC state women leader, Amaka Obiefuna, said the exercise disproved claims that the party lacked structures across the state.

Similarly, the ADC youth leader in Idemili North, Arinze Chukwu-Okoye, described the development as a unifying step for party members, urging residents to register at their ward levels and prepare for the forthcoming elections.

“We are on the right track, and 2027 looks good for us. ADC is building strong grassroots support, and members must remain united as we prepare for the elections,” he said.

Williams also donated over 2,000 campaign materials, including customised T-shirts, caps and banners, to support party mobilisation activities across the constituency.
