Ex-UNIZIK VC Becomes Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists London

Renowned Professor of Medicine and EX- UNIZIK acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Joseph Ikechebelu has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London.

 

A post on facebook said:

 

“Today, Thursday 12th of February 2026, at the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists London ceremony, our own Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, former DVC (Admin) and Acting VC, was admitted as a Fellow of the College (Honoris Causa).

“This is a plus for UNIZIK, as yet another of her own received this honour. Prof. Ikechebelu is the third person in UNIZIK to obtain this Fellowship, which is the most prestigious globally. This follows in the steps of Prof. Ikpeze and Emeritus Prof. Adinma.

 

“The Fellowship is the crowning of his 29 years of labour as a consultant in reproductive medicine and women’s health in the West African subregion (including postgraduate training and university administration).”
