Over the weekend, reputable businessman and a Prince of Eziowelle, Prince Eloka Anene, was inducted into the prestigious cabinet of Igwe Eziowelle, Igwe Mike Okonkwo Etusi, in the company of his lovely wife, Princess Amaka Anene.
Prince Eloka, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Linea Italia Group, is the second son of the first Igwe of Eziowelle, late Igwe Christian Anene, the Owelle 1of Eziowelle, whose last Ofala in 1990 was performed by the young Prince Eloka Anene. Given this background, the induction of Prince Eloka into the Cabinet of Owelle Eziowelle is both symbolic and momentous, as he was decorated with the Chieftaincy title of Obidigboo of Eziowelle Kingdom.
The event, which commenced slowly at Prince Eloka’s palatial home, with friends and relatives walking in to show solidarity, was graced by Chief Uzu Okagbue, Prince Eloka’s cousin. The gathering also received in audience Chief Ikem Obi, Dikejiejemba of Eziowelle, Chairman of Dalobi Hotel Eziowelle, Chief Festus Odegba, Obi Adama, Rev Fr. Professor Obimma Afunugo, Ozomma Nnachi, Barr. Titus Akpudo, Ichaka Egbe Eji Egbu Agu, Dr. Oliver Onwughalu, Ichie Ikemba Nnachi, a reputable medical doctor, Chief Ezekwesili Onwughalu, Okemili Nnachi, a retired director of federal service, Nze Chibuzor Orizu, Eze Ugboyimba Nnewi, Igwe Nnewi’s son, and many dignitaries from diverse walks of life. Notably, many old boys of Dennis Memorial Grammar School – DMGS, were in attendance to celebrate one of their own.
For Prince Eloka Anene, the induction into the Owelle’s cabinet is a call to devoted community service, which he said would not take for granted.
After the induction at Igwe’s Palace, guests returned to Prince Eloka’s home. They were treated to unforgettable entertainment with choice meals and fine wine, to their delight and satisfaction, till late in the night. Prince Eloka then relaxed with many of his secondary school mates at DMGS Onitsha, enjoying the warmth of those once young boys as they all reminisced, grateful for the gathering and hopeful for the future, while enjoying the beautiful moment of Prince Eloka’s induction as a cabinet member of Owelle Eziowelle.
