The Ihembosi- born Industrialist and CEO Seahorse Group of Companies, Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo (EzeIgbo Odoziobodo) has reiterated that he would uphold the vow he made to God to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged at any given opportunity.
Ekwusigo Local Government Secretariat field, Ozubulu was agog on Friday as All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA party faithfuls, admirers, well wishers and those whose lives and community have been impacted one way or the other came out enmasse to show allegiance to Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo ‘EzeIgbo Odoziobodo’ as he declared his intention to run for Senate.
Speaking during his official declaration to join the race for the Anambra South Senatorial District Seat come 2027 general Chief Ebuka Onunkwo said that the poor masses will not be left behind if given the opportunity to represent the great people of Ekwusigo, Aguata, Ihiala, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Orumba North, Orumba South Local Government Areas at the Red chamber.
“I am going to the Senate for effective representation. I will ensure I bring the needed democracy dividends down to Anambra South Senatorial District I know the need of the people and we shall make legislations that will impact the people positively.
“Odoziobodo is coming! Anambra South is in for a great Change. I will change the narrative. The grassroots, the poor masses will feel the positive impact of our shared progress. This is in continuation of the vow I made to God many years ago that the more he blesses and elevates me, no less privileged, or anyone would be left behind.
“I am very positive that I will be victorious because I have paid my dues. The people have testified that I have paid my dues in so many ways and they are ready to vote for me,” said Onunkwo.
Moreso, Mayor of Ekwusigo Local Government Area,Hon Chimezie Obi introduced Chief Hon Ebuka Nwankwo as the Best Candidate for the Anambra South Senatorial Seat saying that he has a covenant with God to always alleviate the sufferings of the needy at any given opportunity.
“Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo Odoziobodo Officially Declared Intentions to run for Senate, to represent Anambra South Senatorial Zone at the red chamber in Abuja.
“You can see the motley crown that trooped in the Ekwusigo LGA Secretariat field today to drum support for the great Ihembosi- born Philanthropist.
“EzeIgbo has been a renown Philanthropist for the past 25 years. Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo has contributed a lot to the development of humanity, starting from his community Ihembosi, to the entire Ekwusigo and across Anambra State.
“He is a great Industrialists and owner of SeaHorse Group of Companies which has a staff strength of over 1,500 workers sited at Ozubulu here, Ekwusigo headquarters for the benefits of the masses. EzeIgbo is someone who is always moved with compassion at the plight of the needy. He did not start his good deeds today because of his Senatorial ambition, he has been a succor to many over the years.
“When asked why he is magnanimous to a fault, he said that he suffered poverty while growing up as a child because of his humble background. He made a covenant with God that if God blessies him he would always share part of his wealth to alleviate the suffering of the poor masses.
“Infact, it will not be out of place to say that his father died because of hunger just to make sure his children had barely enough to eat in those days.
“EzeIgbo faced many struggles while growing up. He suffered to get education, to feed, and to become something in life that is why he swore never to close his eyes at the suffering of the less privileged.
“He does not give because he has in excess or because he is the richest person but out of love, kindness and to keep his vows to God.
“Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo has given many scholarships to youths of various communities in Ekwusigo LGA both for secondary and University Education. A young medical doctor who graduated recently told me to help him thank EzeIgbo for sponsoring him education from year 1 till graduation.
Infact, out of all the Senatorial Seat aspirants, Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo is the best for the job. We know that he will not forget his vows when he gets to the red chamber.
According to the Media aide of Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo and Imeobi News publisher, Kamen Chuks Ogbonnia, Nobody among all the contestants for the Senatorial Seat can match Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo’s pedigree in both Human Capital Development and other forms of infrastructural development.

He is the right person to fill in the shoes of Late Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of blessed memory at the Senate,” he said.
