Anambra Police Receives PSC Secretary Monitoring Recruitment Exercise in South East

The Anambra State Police Command has received the Secretary of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, on an official monitoring tour of the ongoing police recruitment screening exercise across the South-East zone.

 

The visit forms part of the Commission’s oversight responsibility to ensure that the recruitment process is conducted in line with established guidelines, with emphasis on transparency, fairness, and merit.

 

During the tour, the PSC Secretary assessed the screening procedures and interacted with officials, including the Police team, the Police Service Commission team, Federal Character Commission representatives, as well as other relevant stakeholders.

He noted that the Commission will continue to collaborate with the Command to improve sensitization efforts and encouraged more indigenes to join the Force.

 

A statement released by police Spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the Command commended the level of organization and professionalism displayed by the Anambra State Recruitment Screening Team.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu who appreciated the visit, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to upholding the highest standards throughout the exercise, stressing that all necessary measures have been put in place to guarantee a credible and hitch-free recruitment process.

 

The Command further assures members of the public that the exercise remains transparent and strictly merit-based, while urging applicants to adhere to all laid-down guidelines.

 

He assured that the Anambra State Police Command is dedicated to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity and integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.
