The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), South-East Zone, has stepped up engagement with local industries, as its leadership visited Zobis Cable Factory to deepen collaboration and boost regional manufacturing.

The delegation, led by Chairman of MAN for Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states, Dr. Ada Chukwudozie, inspected facilities at the factory in Okoti-Odekpe, Anambra State and held discussions with management on opportunities to strengthen industrial capacity in the zone.

Speaking after the visit, Chairman, Zobis Cable Ltd , Mr John Ezeobi described the engagement as an opportunity to align with stakeholders on advancing manufacturing and promoting sustainable industrial development across the South-East.

Mr Ezeobi said the company remains committed to supporting initiatives that will enhance production, create jobs and improve the competitiveness of local industries.

The visit comes amid increasing interest from key stakeholders in the region’s industrial base, with institutions and industry leaders paying attention to emerging manufacturing hubs.

Recently, the Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University also visited the facility, underscoring growing collaboration between academia and industry.

Industry observers say such engagements could help drive innovation, strengthen value chains and support efforts to reposition the South-East as a major industrial hub.
