An Onitsha-based medical practitioner, Chudi Ezimoha, and a legal practitioner, Clifford Okoye, have expressed differing positions over a protracted family and business dispute involving New Healthway Company Limited.

Dr. Ezimoha said he has petitioned the Nanka community in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, raising concerns over developments surrounding the management and ownership of the family business.

He also referenced ongoing legal proceedings linked to disagreements between him and his younger brother, Okechukwu Ezimoha, over business interests, including properties at the Bridge Head Market, Onitsha.

According to him, the dispute dates back several years after he entrusted aspects of the business to his brother, with disagreements later arising over control and management.

He further noted that the matter has been before the courts, including proceedings in Awka, while efforts at reconciliation have also been explored.

In his response, Okoye said he is involved in the matter in a professional capacity, providing legal services connected to the business and related issues.

He stated that his role is limited to legal representation and that he has no personal stake in the family dispute.

Okoye also indicated that steps have been taken through appropriate channels regarding concerns raised during the disagreement, while noting that discussions toward resolution have been attempted.

The disagreement, which centres on business ownership and family relations, remains subject to legal processes and community engagement.
