Hon. Princess Chinwe Clara Nnabuife, Member Representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives, is set to stage a comeback to the green chambers, after picking her Expression of Interest Form from the National Secretariat of her party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Abuja.

Hon. Princess Nnabuife told newsmen on Monday in Abuja shortly after collecting her forms that her re-election campaign would be anchored on continuity with effective representation through the delivery of social and infrastructure development in the Orumba North and South Federal Constituency of Anambra State and promoting inclusive governance.

The federal lawmaker reassured her constituents of her commitment to consolidate on her legislative achievements and to sustain the delivery of democratic dividends for the benefit of the electorate.

I no Longer Lay Claim to Awka Throne, Ndigwe Tells Anambra Govt.

In her own words: “I came here to pick up my expression of interest form to seek a second term and to once again ask my people for their mandate”.

Reflecting on her time in office, she emphasised her commitment to people-focused representation and ongoing development initiatives across Orumba North and South.

“My message is a continuation of the good work I am presently doing to ensure that my people enjoy the true dividends of democracy,” she stated.

Nnabuife also highlighted her advocacy for gender inclusion, noting that increased participation of women in politics remains critical to strengthening democratic institutions in Nigeria.

“Women have been grossly underrepresented in the National Assembly. Being there gives hope to younger women who aspire to leadership roles,” she said.

She further stressed her commitment to mentoring young women and encouraging broader female participation in governance, describing it as key to sustainable national development.

The lawmaker expressed confidence in the internal democratic process of APGA, citing its track record of credibility.

“APGA is known for conducting free and fair primaries, and this will not be an exception,” she said.

Nnabuife, however, called on party stakeholders to provide a level playing field for female aspirants, urging greater support for women seeking elective positions.

“Women should be given a chance. Most of those picking up forms are men, and we are few. If more opportunities are given to women, the dividends of democracy will be more evident,” she added.

A former transition Council Chairman of Orumba South LGA, Prince Neville Uchendu (Mayor Atlanta), who led other Stakeholders from Orumba North and South to accompany Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife to the party’s National Secretariat said the Federal lawmaker has the capacity to deliver and to bring dividends of democracy to Orumba North and South.

According to Uchendu,

“I don’t support failure. I support her work. She is the only woman that can bring unity and everything that Orumba needed to succeed. I think Orumba South has not seen nothing yet. This second term, in fact, all our minds will be filled with hallelujah.”
