Leading aspirant for the 2027 Ogbaru Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Prince Chukwuka “Chuchu” Onyema, has expressed his readiness to provide a visionary and development-driven leadership following his impressive outing at the party’s screening exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Briefing journalists after his successful screening on Monday at the APGA National Secretariat Abuja, Onyema praised APGA for instituting a credible and transparent process that allows aspirants to demonstrate their competence, leadership capacity, and commitment to public service.
“The exercise was thorough and intellectually engaging.
“It is important for anyone seeking public office to be properly assessed on what they can offer the people, their understanding of governance, and their vision for development. I consider it a valuable and commendable process”.
The grassroots mobilizer also expressed confidence in his aspiration, stating that the interaction with the screening panel further reinforced his readiness to deliver effective and people-oriented representation for Ogbaru Federal Constituency.
“This experience has strengthened my belief that we have genuine value to offer our people.
“Our focus is on service, impactful representation, and creating opportunities that will improve the lives of our constituents.”
Onyema emphasized that quality legislation and strategic development initiatives would remain central to his agenda if elected into the House of Representatives.
“One of my primary goals is to contribute meaningfully to the making of laws that will strengthen our institutions, improve governance, and support national progress.
“The National Assembly must remain a platform for innovative ideas and policies that directly impact the people positively.”
Onyema also reiterated his commitment to attracting federal projects and strengthening collaboration between the federal government and Anambra State in order to fast-track critical infrastructure and economic development in Ogbaru.
“We have major developmental projects that require federal attention and support.
“Part of the responsibility of effective representation is ensuring that our constituency is not left behind in the distribution of national opportunities and infrastructure.”
Political analysts have continued to identify Onyema as one of the emerging influential voices within APGA, citing his calm disposition, intellectual depth, grassroots connection, and development-oriented vision as qualities that position him strongly ahead of the party primaries.
Stakeholders and party faithful who monitored the exercise described Onyema’s performance as articulate, intelligent, and reflective of a candidate deeply grounded in governance, legislative responsibility, and grassroots development.
