Anambra State has secured the hosting rights for the 99th Annual National Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), a development expected to attract over 5,000 healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers and industry stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond.
The conference, tagged “Ijele 2026,” will position Anambra as a major destination for professional, healthcare and business tourism while showcasing the state’s growing reputation as a hub for investment, innovation and strategic national events.
The approval followed a strategic partnership between the Anambra State Government and the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, with the state emerging as the host of the prestigious gathering scheduled for 2026. The conference will be held under the theme, “One Health, One Pharmacy: Bridging Knowledge, Practice and Policy for National Impact.”
Speaking on the development, stakeholders described the hosting rights as a significant vote of confidence in Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s administration and the state’s improving infrastructure, security architecture and conducive environment for major national events.
