300 Robotics trainees, 100 ISP Engineers, and 80 Startup graduates have completed the Anambra Government’s Tech Skills Scheme, aligned with the mantra: ‘Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere.’ This initiative, led by the Solution Innovation Districts (SID), aims to foster a vibrant digital economy for Anambra State’s future.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of the Anambra State Lighthouse in Awka, today June 16.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo congratulated the graduates and emphasised the vital role of digital technology in today’s world, noting that technology is pervasive and integral to everything.

According to him, This training is very intentional because technology is our here, our now, and our future. For me, this personally resonates because I have lived through it; without technological advances, I would not be where I am today.”

He urged the graduates to harness their skills and conquer the world with technology. “I want to see more startups and innovative products emerging from our schools, especially secondary schools, because catching them young is crucial. We will also encourage primary school pupils to think innovatively, alongside private enterprises.”

Ms Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation and CEO of SID, expressed gratitude to the governor, partners, guests, and graduates. She highlighted that the event underscores the importance of government investment in talent, the active role of the private sector as co-builders, and a committed and disciplined youth driven by a shared vision.

She pointed out that under Governor Soludo’s leadership, Anambra’s digital transformation is actively underway; it’s not just a promise but a reality, built one coder, one startup, and one digital talent at a time. Originally, the governor pledged to train 10,000 people annually, but within the first year, over 30,000 individuals have already been trained.

Okoli celebrated three key programs: Robotics Training, ISP Network Engineering, and the Anambra Startup Incubation, all based on four pillars: practical training, access to infrastructure, mentorship from industry experts, and support for turning ideas into businesses.

“Many graduates are gaining exposure to real systems and infrastructure, helping them secure jobs or start businesses, which in turn create more employment opportunities.”

The programmes were developed in partnership with Circum Technologies and Connekt Broadband.
