The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has stated that nobody is politically witch-hunting Bishop Emeka Michael Nwankpa.

Rather, according to him, the bishop is merely facing the consequences of his alleged deceptive actions.

In a statement titled “Ikemba Front Condemns Claims of Political Witch-Hunt Against Bishop Emeka Michael Nwankpa,” Obigwe described as baseless and misleading the allegation that the arrest and arraignment of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, alongside other alleged fake pastors, was politically motivated.

According to Obigwe, those promoting the narrative of political persecution are making a desperate and misguided attempt to blackmail and arm-twist the Anambra State Government into dropping the charges against the cleric.

He maintained that such efforts have failed from the outset, insisting that the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo remains committed to the rule of law and due process without fear or favour.

“Those trying to portray the matter as a political witch-hunt have failed on arrival. Their attempt to use blackmail to pressure the government into abandoning the case is not only unfortunate but also unacceptable,” he stated.

Obigwe further argued that Bishop Emeka Nwankpa does not possess the political relevance being attributed to him by his supporters.

“As a member of the APC operating in Onitsha North II Constituency, Emeka Nwankpa does not have the political value that would warrant any form of politically motivated action against him. He cannot even boast of winning an election in his polling unit, let alone his ward,” Obigwe said.

The APGA chieftain stressed that the Soludo administration cannot be associated with any form of political witch-hunt against any individual in Anambra State, noting that the government’s focus remains on governance, development, and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.

According to him, Governor Soludo’s administration has distinguished itself through massive infrastructural development, improved security, urban renewal, and transformative policies aimed at repositioning Anambra State for sustainable growth and prosperity.

“The effort of Governor Soludo to reform and transform Anambra State in all ramifications deserves commendation, not vilification and senseless blackmail.

“Indeed, Anambra people have never had it so good. The remarkable achievements being recorded under the administration of our beloved Governor Soludo are visible for all to see.

“Those who choose to ignore these realities do so at their own peril. As we say, follow who no road to avoid falling inside the gutter.

“Daalu nu,” Obigwe added.
