The Anambra Patriots on Sunday honoured three distinguished members recently appointed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo into key positions in his second term Government.
The appointees included Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Arc. Okechukwu Ezeobi and Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi, who chairs the body.
While Agbata was reappointed Managing Director, Anambra State ICT Agency, Ezeobi and Enekwechi were appointed Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure as well as President of Anambra Country Club, respectively.
Presenting symbolic gifts, including large acrylic portrait frames in Awka, the Patriots Coordinators’ Forum described the appointments as a recognition of competence, integrity and dedicated service.
They renewed calls for excellence, accountability and selfless service, urging the honourees to justify the confidence reposed in them through impactful service to the people.
“The appointments are clear signs of well-deserved recognition of the appointees’ competence and exceptional performance in previous public assignments.
“Each of the honourees has demonstrated excellence and professionalism in offices they had previously occupied,” they added.
Responding separately, Works Commissioner, Ezeobi expressed gratitude to God for his journey in public service.
He identified himself as the last son of a widow whose rise to leadership reflects the rewards of perseverance, hard work and divine grace.
President of Anambra Country Club, Enekwechi described Anambra Patriots as a body blessed with accomplished individuals with meaningful contributions to the development of the State and Nigeria.
On his part, ICT Agency boss, Agbata, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to deepening the deployment of technology to enhance governance and improve public service delivery across the state.
The trio honourees thanked Soludo for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to continue supporting the administration’s development agenda through dedicated and impactful service, rooted in transparency and accountability.
They also appreciated members of the group for the recognition, assuring them that they would continue to uphold the values of excellence, accountability and integrity.
“We’ll make meaningful contributions to the state’s development, particularly in the areas of digital transformation and ICT penetration, infrastructure development, as well as leisure, recreation and professional networking,” they pledged.
Earlier, traditional ruler of Umueri and former Chairman of Anambra Patriots, Igwe Sir Ben Izuchukwu Emeka praised Soludo for recognising wealth of talent within the organisation, identifying hard work, competence and commitment to service as virtues that would always attract recognition.
He urged the appointees to remain focused and continue setting high standards of excellence in public service.
