Renowned Oil Mogul, Engr. Arthur Eze has urged the Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Ikezue to remain focused, peaceful and committed to welfare of the people ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.

Eze gave the charge when members of the Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue Senatorial Campaign Council paid him a courtesy visit at his Abuja residence to brief him on the candidate’s vision and mission for Anambra Central.

He commended the delegation for adopting a consultative approach and recognising the importance of engaging elders in the political process.

“I urge you and your the campaign team to remain focused on your vision, conduct your activities peacefully and always place the interests of the people above personal ambition,” he added.

The philanthropist extraordinaire also offered prayers for God’s wisdom and guidance for the candidate and his campaign team, just as he prayed for enduring peace, unity and progress in Anambra State, the South-East and Nigeria.

Earlier, Ikezue described his senatorial ambition as a divine assignment inspired by a desire to provide purposeful representation for the people of Anambra Central.

“God raises men for specific assignments at specific times. Just as He raised Nehemiah to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem and Moses to lead His people out of bondage, we believe God has assigned a Rescue Mission to Anambra Central.

“Despite the district’s abundant human and economic potential, it requires effective representation in the National Assembly to attract federal infrastructure, create employment opportunities for youths, safeguard the interests of constituents and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach communities across the senatorial zone,” he noted.

The campaign council also unveiled its five-point Rescue Agenda, centred on effective representation and quality legislation, youth and women empowerment through skills acquisition and job creation, attraction of federal infrastructure and development projects, promotion of security and community development, as well as prayerful, servant-oriented leadership.

The council expressed appreciation to Eze for his fatherly counsel, unwavering commitment to the Igbo cause and continued support for initiatives that promote the development of Anambra State and the South-East.

It added that the visit was part of a broader stakeholder engagement strategy designed to build consensus and mobilise support for Ven. Ikezue’s senatorial aspiration ahead of the 2027 general election.

The delegation, led by Ven. Ikezue, said the visit formed part of ongoing consultations with key stakeholders aimed at presenting the campaign’s agenda, seeking guidance from respected leaders and building broad-based support ahead of the election.
