Speaking during the event, Chairman of the Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi branch, Ada Chukwudozi said MPDCL had developed an integrated framework bringing together the expertise required to help manufacturers transition to more affordable, reliable and efficient energy solutions.

“Today symposium gives you the opportunity to hear directly from those partners, ask questions, understand the available technologies, explore financing options and evaluate solutions that are suitable for your individual operations.

“Immediately after today’s sessions, manufacturers will also have the opportunity to engage directly with our experts through CEO Energy Transmission Clinic, where preliminary energy assessments and practical implementation pathways will be discussed, Chukwudozie, who is also the Chairman of Keystone Bank PLC said.

She said the event also marked the commencement of the MAN Industries Energy Adoption Programme, providing a structured pathways from assessment to implementations

According to her, one of the member companies, Juddy-Bolema Industries Ltd., has chosen to become one of the pioneering manufacturers in the initiative.

“I therefore respectfully appeal to every stakeholder represented here today to give this pioneering project your fullest support within your respective roles and responsibilities

“Together, let us take the first step towards building a more competitive, more resilient and more sustainable manufacturing sector,” the MAN boss affirmed.

MAN’s National President, Otunba Francis Meshioye commended the initiative, while urging manufacturers to key into the project for the sustainability of manufacturing sector.

“The MPDCL Industrial Energy Adoption Programme is a commendable step in that direction.

“Bringing financing, engineering expertise, technology and policy support together in one coordinated framework, offering manufacturers a practical path to lower energy costs and stronger competitiveness,” he said.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State described the theme as both timely and strategic as well as reflection of clear understanding of dependence of manufacturing competitiveness not merely on access to electricity, but on access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy supporting productivity, innovation and long-term growth.

Soludo, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Chiamaka Nnake said the State has continued to invest in strengthening its energy ecosystem.

“For Anambra State, industrialisation is not an aspiration, it is a deliberate policy direction. Under the leadership of Governor Soludo, we are building a livable and prosperous homeland where businesses can thrive, investments can flourish, and industries can compete successfully both within Nigeria and across global markets.

“Our administration recognises that energy is the backbone of industrial transformation. Without reliable and affordable power, manufacturers face rising production costs and limited room to expand. With it, productivity rises, jobs are created, and prosperity follows.

“This is why Anambra State has continued to invest in strengthening its energy ecosystem through the operationalisation of the Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission, strategic infrastructure investment, and policies that encourage private sector participation in energy solutions,” Soludo added.

Managing Director of MPDCL, Oweh Ono Mba Sam and other representatives of manufacturing companies educated participants on the new way forward.
