Anambra State Government moves to strengthen school system ahead of resumption next month

The Government of Anambra State has moved to strengthen the Anambra State School System by aligning both public and private schools in the State with the Solution Agenda on education. This move is intended to unify the education system in Anambra State for maximum quality output.

 

During a well-attended meeting of proprietors of private schools, which was held in Awka, Anambra State, the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, outlined the focus of the Government to strengthen teaching and learning by ensuring compliance with the Anambra State School System to produce the same quality result across board (private and public education) in Anambra State.

Speaking, Dr. Ogugua emphasized the State Government’s willingness to collaborate with private schools in Anambra, as well as support them with necessary tools to key into the State policy framework on education and comply with approved operational guidelines set by the government. The Commissioner also encouraged school proprietors to take advantage of ongoing online training programmes developed by the government to enhance the teaching capabilities of their teachers.

 

The meeting featured an interactive session during which time Dr. Ekene Ogugua stressed that proprietors should endeavour to maintain approved standards of teaching and learning in their schools. The Commissioner also reiterated Anambra Government’s readiness to support and partner with school owners in Anambra State to maximize excellent output.
