Eight corps members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 are to repeat their service year for absconding from service while four were sanctioned with extension of service in Anambra state.
The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Pauline Ojisua disclosed this during low-keyed Passing-Out Ceremony which took place simultaneously at the various Local Government Areas across the State.
She said the four corps members were sanctioned with extension of service for 106, 104, 66 and 100 days, respectively, saying the sanctions were in accordance with NYSC rules and regulations.
According to Ojisua, a total of 1,078 corps members successfully completed their mandatory one-year national service in the State
She said the outgoing corps members comprised 395 males and 687 females.
While congratulating the outgoing corps members for successful completion of the mandatory one-year national service, the State Coordinator urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and continue to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The major highlight of the ceremony was the issuance of Certificates of National Service (CNS) to deserving Corps Members.
The State Coordinator presented the certificates to some of the outgoing corps members at Awka South Local Government Area of the state.
