Anambra Native doctor, Ekene Igboekweze, popularly known as Eke Hit, has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment by the Anambra State High Court.
Recall the popular native doctor from Okija was arrested on February 11, 2025, by security operatives in Anambra State over alleged involvement in ritual and wealth-making fraud.
His arrest followed complaints and viral online videos where he claimed to perform ritual practices like “Oke Ite,” “Yahoo Plus,” and “Awele,” which were in violation of the Anambra State Homeland Security law.
Eke Hit was detained and subsequently arraigned alongside other controversial native doctors like Chidozie Nwangwu (Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki) and Onyebuchi Okocha (Onyeze Jesus).
