Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Ven. Tochukwu Ikezue, has commended Founder of Streams of Joy International and Convener of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), Pastor Jerry Eze, following the group’s UK Prayer Conference held at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom.
Ikezue, who described the gathering as a significant moment for the global Christian community, said the event, held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, brought together thousands of worshippers for prayer, worship and prophetic declarations.
Addressing journalists in Awka, the LP candidate noted that the 74,000-capacity stadium was filled with worshippers from across the United Kingdom and beyond, while millions of others participated through livestreams around the world.
The conference featured ministrations by gospel artistes and ministers, including Mercy Chinwo, Sunmisola Agbebi, Dunsin Oyekan and Kaestrings. The event was free to attend and fully booked.
Ikezue said the gathering represented a major milestone for the NSPPD movement, recalling its growth from an online prayer platform that gained prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic to a major physical gathering at one of the world’s renowned sporting venues.
According to him, the development demonstrated the growing international reach of Nigerian Christian ministries and Pastor Eze’s contribution to taking the message of Jesus Christ beyond Nigeria.
“What Pastor Jerry Eze has done today is historic. It marks a major physical gathering for the NSPPD movement and proves that prayer is still the master key,” Ikezue said.
He added that the event had projected the Nigerian Church on the global stage and described Pastor Eze’s ministry as an expression of Nigeria’s growing influence in Christian evangelism and revival beyond the country’s shores.
Ikezue, who is also an Ambassador of Peace, congratulated Pastor Eze on the successful conference on behalf of his family, Team Rescue Mission and the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
“What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist,” he declared.
