Dr. Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Grace Nation Global, has announced January 6 and 7, 2027, for the burial ceremony of his late father, Pa Stephen Okafor , who died in September 2026 at the age of 105.
The renowned cleric announced the burial dates after the Divine Intervention and Breakthrough Sunday Service at the international headquarters of Grace Nation Global in Lagos.
Describing the ceremony as a celebration of life, Okafor said his late father lived a long and fulfilled life as a committed Christian who guided his family along the path of righteousness.
“We are happy that our daddy lived a very long and fulfilled life as a committed Christian. He led us into the path of righteousness, and we believe he is resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.
The cleric appealed for prayers for the family during the period of mourning and invited friends, well-wishers, spiritual sons and daughters, and members of Grace Nation Global to join him and his family in honouring the deceased.
According to the burial arrangements, the ceremony will take place at the family’s country home in Ihite, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Okafor described his late father as a disciplinarian, a man of integrity and a devout Christian whose life and legacy would continue to inspire generations.
