The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has conferred Honorary Fellowship on Lady (Dr.) Adaora Ogochukwu Chukwudozie, Chairman of Keystone Bank Limited, at its 2026 Fellowship Investiture.
The ceremony held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, themed “Bank Recapitalisation: Leveraging New Bank Capital for Nigeria’s Industrial Transformation,” brought together leaders from banking, business and government to examine how a stronger financial system can support productive investment and economic growth.
Speaking with reporters, Chukwudozie expressed gratitude to the Institute for the honour and pledged not to relent in her commitment to service.
She renewed determination to contribute to institutional development through her responsibilities in banking, manufacturing and enterprise leadership.
The honour comes amid significant progress at Keystone Bank. Under the oversight of its Board and the leadership of Management, the Bank has strengthened its liquidity position, expanded its deposit base and grown its customer franchise.
The Bank has also strengthened governance and controls, reinforcing accountability, risk management and effective oversight across its operations.
Keystone Bank has continued to enhance technology across its digital channels, supporting improved customer experience and more convenient access to banking services.
These investments form part of its continuing efforts to strengthen service delivery, operational resilience and customer confidence.
The progress reflects the collective contribution of the Board, Management and staff, alongside the continued trust of customers. Sustaining these gains remains a priority as the Bank advances its institutional transformation.
At the investiture, CIBN President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Dele Alabi, urged banks to translate stronger capital positions into greater support for productive businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, emphasised the importance of affordable, long-term financing for industrial expansion and enterprise growth, supported by sound governance and responsible lending.
Delivering the keynote address, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr. Tayo Adulojunc
called for stronger financing of manufacturing and other productive sectors. He highlighted the need for collaboration among banks, government and regulators to address obstacles to industrial investment.
Other distinguished personalities named among the honourees included Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority; Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria; Chief Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited.
Also honored were Dr. Ibrahim Stevens, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; and Mr. Samuel Egube, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor.
Chukwudozie, who also serves as Group Managing Director of Dozzy Group and Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, South-East Branch, brings a cross-sector perspective to the relationship between finance, industry and national development.
Her renewed commitment to service reflects the central message of the investiture: that strong institutions and purposeful leadership must translate into stronger enterprises, productive investment and wider economic opportunities.
