Azubike Emodi is the Managing director and Chief executive officer at Anchoria Asset Management Limited. A corporate titan who has spent nearly twenty years in the private sector, building an incredible career and growing several companies to monumental heights.
Azubike’s foray into the dynamics of the corporate world started from early days at Zenith Bank to the Royal Bank of Canada, one of the world’s largest banks in terms of capitalization.
It was at Royal Bank he cut his teeth as a thoroughbred financial expert with the right skillsets, experience and also developed a global outlook to business. At Royal bank Canada, he was severally rewarded for his performance and professionalism.
Azubike joined the VFD Group in 2016 to drive one of the Nigeria’s foremost online digital banks- The VBank. The VBank under his leadership emerged as one of Nigeria’s largest Micro Finance Banks in terms of capitalization, deposit, size, and profitability. It is a fact to say that VBANK revolutionized digital banking in Nigeria. Zubby’s Midas touch, made this happen.
Presently at Anchoria, Azubike is driving one of the smartest investment companies in the country.
Since joining Anchoria in 2021, he has launched SEEDs, a ground breaking investment mobile application, providing retail and wholesale access to exotic financial products. For Azubike, it is always about innovation and cutting-edge ideas around tech. A typical modern day CEO with global mindset.
Azubike also sits on the board of several companies. He is a non-executive director at VFD Group PLC, he is a director and founding partner of Lynx & Ocelot Limited. He serves as the chairman of the Board of Directors for Our Car limited, an auto trading and auto repairs subsidiary of Atiat Leasing Company. He is also a non- executive director at VBank, Atiat Leasing Limited and Rockshield Asset Production Limited.
He is a member of Investment Funds in Canada (IFC), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB)of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administrators (FICA). He holds a B.Sc in Banking & Finance, MBA in Management and M.Sc. in Banking and Finance.
