The Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu has alleged that the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Charles Soludo in two years has performed better than the 8 years of former Anambra governors, Willie Obiano and Mr. Peter Obi.
He highlighted the remarkable achievement of how the governor completed 247 kilometers of high-quality roads within two years. He revealed how the former Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige admitted that Soludo had been quite better off his predecessors in terms of road building. He also noted the governor’s efforts in improving lives and addressing poverty, citing the recruitment of 8,000 teachers, with 5,000 hired last year and 3,000 more recently.
He said in an interview with TVC, ”Governor Soludo has done far better than the 8 years of Obiano and Peter Obi in Anambra state. I mean, which government has completed in two years 247 kilometers of quality roads? These are roads meant to last for a long time. You saw that the former governor who is known as the road master, Dr. Chris Ngige conceded that the governor has done tremendously well on the construction of the roads in the state.
I’m not trying to compare but I’m saying that what we are witnessing today is phenomenal. I have been in the state for 32 years. So I can tell you with all honesty, the ability to touch lives and intolerance for poverty is in the governor. The governor has recruited 8,000 teachers, 5000 were done late last year and another 3000 are just being concluded now. The governor is giving grants to Mission Public Schools not just to any particular denomination but to all the denominations who have public mission schools.”
