An Anambra-born comedian, popularly known as Comedian Onyenze, has categorically denied any association or support for cultism and cult-related activities in Awka, the capital city of Anambra State, or any other part of the state.
In response to allegations made by Facebook user, Dietrich Klaus, and other anonymous individuals, Onyenze clarified his stand on the matter. He questioned how anyone could even link him to cultism, emphasizing that he has absolutely no affiliation with secret cults.
During an interview with the media, the comedian, who hails from Awka, expressed surprise at the accusations, stating that he has received numerous calls from concerned individuals who had seen comments on social media claiming that he is involved in cult activities. Some even went as far as accusing him of supplying guns and bullets to the Vikings cult group in Awka.
Onyenze refuted these claims, explaining that he has not accumulated enough wealth to even sustain himself and his family, let alone indulge in such activities or provide financial support to cults.
“I am not a cultist, and I have no intention of becoming one in the future. I absolutely do not sponsor any cult group or engage in any cult-related activities,” he asserted.
Additionally, the comedian, who also manages the “Awka 33 Villages State Capital” page, challenged the anonymous individuals accusing him to come forward publicly instead of hiding behind fake social media accounts and using profile pictures of other people.
“I am innocent and have no association with any cult or involvement in cultism. Those making these accusations must reveal their identities. They should stop using fake accounts to levy such serious criminal allegations against me. I want the whole world to know that I am not a part of any secret cult or a sponsor thereof,” the comedian firmly stated.
