Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has proposed creation of a State Policing Model anchored on platform of the Police Community Policing Committee comprising all security outfits to police the State and to ensure harmonization of sharing of intelligence information.

He also restated his plan of an all-inclusive policing system to hear from those that would assist Security Agencies in enforcing the law and maintaining public order and safety in the State.

Speaking during an interactive session he hosted with Vigilantes groups and relevant security outfits in the State, the CP frowned at some of the abnormalities observed within the communities among the vigilantes, including illegal detention of suspects, mob actions, illegal security levy, and assault on suspects, among others.

He commended the Vigilantes and security Outfits for their commitment, dedication, and selfless service in assisting the Police to nip crime in the bud in the State.
