A mysterious outbreak of food poisoning has left at least 10 people hospitalized in various health facilities across Onitsha, sparking widespread panic among residents.

According to investigations, the victims fell ill after consuming beans, with symptoms including watery diarrhea and strange ailments.

The development has sent shockwaves through the community, with many abandoning bean consumption until health authorities provide clarity.

The alleged poisoning has also had a devastating impact on local businesses, with sellers of beans and related products like moi-moi and bean cake (akara) reporting a significant decline in sales.
