Private school Proprietors in Anambra State, under the auspices of the United Independent Proprietors of Private Schools has declared their unflinching support for the Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh in her efforts to drive the education of Anambra children, in the manner prescribed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
President of the United Independent Proprietors of Private Schools, Apostle Success Akawor who stated this during the 2024 end of year get together, described the Commissioner as fearless and courageous woman, who is not ready to look at anybody’s face while fighting irregularities.
“We are prepared to surprise Commissioner Chuma-Udeh today. We are fully prepared to appreciate and honor her for what she has done so far, including representing the Governor that sent her very well” he said.
Responding, Prof. Chuma-Udeh appreciated private school Proprietors in the State for partnering the State government in the task of training the children.
The Commissioner who spoke through Public Relations Officer in the Ministry, Mr Nnaemeka Egwuonwu restated her commitment to the fight against corruption, malpractice and all forms of evil.
According to her, Education in Anambra State must be got right as prescribed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
She assured private school proprietors in the State that they would witness no act of intimidation, provided they carry out their activities in line with Government’s guidelines.
Chuma-Udeh thanked the United Independent Proprietors of Private Schools for recognizing her modest efforts aimed at realizing Governor Soludo’s mandates for the education sector.
Egwuonwu was accompanied by the Special Assistant to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Education, Mr Patrick Obichukwu.
