Nnorom emerges NASME National President, vows to reposition body

Hon Theo Nnorom has emerged as the National President of Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME).

 

Nnorom pulled a total of 87 votes to emerge winner of the Presidential Election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association yesterday at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council Abuja.

Other positions contested for included Deputy National President South, the Deputy National President North, Zonal Vice Presidents from the six geopolitical zones and other National positions

 

In his acceptance speech, Nnorom thanked the outgoing Council led by Dr. Abdulrasheed Yerima, promising to reposition the association to meet the need of members to enable them actualize their vision for setting up their businesses.

 

He assured members that part of his strategy would be to dialogue and partner with stakeholders within Nigeria’s SME Ecosystem, establish platforms that would support ease of doing business and create market opportunities through strategic partnerships with local and international markets.

 

While lauding Federal Government for its laudable initiatives towards growing Nigerias MSME Ecosystem, Nnorom pleaded for more efforts from stakeholders to ensure Business Owners across Nigeria do their businesses in conducive and economy friendly atmosphere.

 

State Chairmen from the 36 States of the federation attended the meeting with their delegates for the NASME General Assembly.
