Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha (DNA) Federal Constituency, Barr Prince Chukwudi Oli (Oba Ezeafia) has paid a total of ₦11,150,800 to offset medical bills of 26 patients at Referral Health Centre, Awgbu, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The intervention which restored hope to families that had struggled to meet the cost of treatment, covered 14 surgical patients, seven admitted patients and five out-patients.

Speaking to reporters, Oli described the gesture as service to humanity beyond boundaries and act of worship to God.

He said, “Although Awgbu is outside my Constituency, I don’t consider where a person comes from before offering assistance.

“Every act of kindness is a service to humanity and an act of worship to God; genuine compassion knows no political or geographical boundaries.

“For those who have followed my journey over the years, this particular benevolence is not new or strange but a reflection of lifestyle built on charity and humanitarian service.

“Long before seeking elective office, I have consistently invested in the welfare of the less privileged through healthcare interventions, youth empowerment, education, sports development and community support.

“The decision to extend this life-saving intervention beyond my constituency further reinforces my belief that leadership is measured not by words or political affiliation, but by the positive impact made in the lives of people.”

Beneficiaries and residents of the community described the intervention as timely and life-changing, commending the benefactor for his uncommon generosity and unwavering commitment to humanity.

According to them, the gesture would not only inspire hope, but a demonstration that true leadership is defined by service, compassion and willingness to uplift others regardless of tribe, community, religion or political interest.
