Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has said his administration is committed to creating a conducive working environment for judicial officers to enable them discharge their constitutional duties efficiently and strengthen the administration of justice in the state.
Soludo stated this on Monday during the presentation of brand-new Sport Utility Vehicles to ten judges in Anambra State.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Chiamaka Nnake, at the ceremony held at the Light House in Awka, said the gesture was part of his administration’s effort to improve the welfare, mobility and effectiveness of judicial officers.
According to him, adequate logistical support is critical to the timely and effective administration of justice.
Nnake said the provision of the vehicles reflects the Soludo administration’s determination to support the judiciary and ensure that judges are able to commute conveniently to their offices and carry out their duties without unnecessary difficulty.
She reaffirmed that the administration’s Solution Agenda places priority on strengthening all arms of government to improve service delivery to the people of Anambra State.
The state government said it would continue to support the judiciary in promoting fairness, the rule of law and equitable access to justice across the state.
It added that the presentation of the vehicles forms part of a broader vision to build a prosperous, secure and liveable smart megacity through sustained investment in infrastructure, human capital development and institutional reforms.
According to the government, strengthening key institutions, including the judiciary, remains central to delivering good governance and sustainable development in Anambra State.
