My dear good people of Ichida, Calvary greetings.
Earlier today, a kidnap victim was rescued in our dear town Ichida. Having rescued the victim, Mr Sidney Nwachukwu Amobi a native of Ogidi and a politician, our gallant vigilante group laid siege for the kidnapper who was also arrested. On interrogation, we discovered that the alleged kidnapper one Mr Emeka Amobi who is also a native of Ogidi but residing in Ichida was part of a large criminal gang terrorising Ichida and environs. He was also part of the gang that attempted kidnapping our illustrious son Rev. Fr. Ugochukwu Chiekezie. On further investigation we discovered that this kidnapper is part of band of criminals that operate from Oba town. We assisted the police in arresting the whole gang where a cache of dangerous weapons was recovered. We have handed over the victim and the kidnappers so arrested to the police for further processing.
We want remind everyone that as indigenes of our beloved town that we must be vigilant always as security is a collective responsibility.
Furthermore, all landlords must make extra effort to know who their tenants are also those employing domestic staff must make sure they know who their employees are.
We are grateful to our central vigilante group and village security groups that helped to crack this gang.
