Nnewi Union USA (NUSA), has just concluded its 2022 conference, it also elected new officers for the association. For this year, the theme of the convention is “Impact of Uncontrolled Urbanisation & Security Challenges in Nnewi (and Southeast) – Role of NUSA.
The convention was moderated by Prof. Chris Ulasi, communications and journalism professor, who is a founding secretary of the association.
Highlights of the convention includes election of Dr. Julian Anigbogu as the new President of Nnewi Union USA. This is following Dr. Ike Ofomata’s successful completion of his tenure. Other elected executive members of the association are; Mrs. Chiugo Ajene who was elected the Vice President of NUSA. Dr. Chioma Okeke was elected secretary, while Mr. Keke Enemchukwu was elected Assistant Secretary. Sir Chinelo Ejimbe was elected treasurer, while Mr. Anene Okeke was elected financial secretary and finally Mazi Chidi Agba, was elected the PRO of NUSA.
During the conference, huge amount of money was raised for the ongoing construction of the Nnewi USA E-Library and Multipurpose Centre in Nnewi.
