The Presidential Campaign Council of Professor Peter Umeadi and All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, have written to the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, to complain about the non inclusion of the Former Chief Judge of Anambra State to the Annual General Conference of the NBA holding in Eko Atlantic City Lagos.
The Campaign Council of Professor Umeadi, who is the presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressive Grand Alliance Party, APGA, in the forthcoming 2023 National Election complained that some other Political parties presidential candidates were invited to the event as keynote speakers but the retired jurist was not.
The Letter written and signed by Ibrahim Garba, the Director General of Umeadi-Muhammed 2023 campaign Organization was dated 4th August 2022 and among other things complained of the non inclusion of the Prof Umeadi.
” Prof Peter Umeadi could claim the NBA, as his primary constituency and ought to be invited and seated at the opening ceremony of the NBA Conference 2022 especially when other presidential candidates are so invited.”… the letter said.
“This would be the first time that a lawyer , a jurist, and an academic would become the presidential candidate of a major political party in Nigeria. It should be celebrated by the NBA.”… the letter noted
