The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AiRS) has in a statement inform the citizens of Anambra State that from Tuesday next week, September 13, 2022, there will be massive enforcement of Tax compliance in the State, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.

Part of the statement reads;

“All Commercial Motorcycle riders (Okada), Tricycle operators (Keke) and Bus drivers operating in Anambra State should go and get enumerated and pay the levies as agreed by their union and the Anambra State government”.

“Those yet to pay their taxes and levies to Anambra State Government are by this announcement advised to do so, immediately. Refusal to pay is against the law”.

“Remember, don’t pay cash to anybody as the Anambra State government has not authorized anyone to collect taxes and levies for the government. Anyone doing that is looking for serious trouble. Pay your taxes and levies to the government through the Bank or POS, using your Anambra State Identity Number (ASIN)”.
