Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, Peter obi’s lead counsel, has described what will happen if the Independent Nigerian Election Commission, INEC, is allowed to seek that the BVAS be reconfigured, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
It should be remembered that the Electoral body stormed the court to demand that the BVAS be altered in preparation for the Saturday governorship poll.
Ikpeazu said that the reconfiguration implies that the electoral authority needs permission to remove all presidential details from the computer during a Tuesday interview with a journalist.
He claimed that if the request is approved, the accreditation—the most important piece of evidence—will be lost, putting the petition at risk.
He spoke “The INEC is attempting to modify the BVAS machine, which is of the utmost importance. This indicates that they want to delete the accreditation information obtained during the presidential election. That will be significant as it serves as our most important piece of proof. Every one of our applications will be in peril if that request is granted.”
